Privacy Policy
Last updated:
This Privacy Policy explains how ANSOR collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you visit our website or use our platform. Please read it carefully.
1. Who we are
ANSOR is an AI-powered literary IP discovery platform, a company incorporated under French law (hereinafter "ANSOR", "we", "us", or "our"). Our registered address is available upon request at contact@ansor.ai.
We are committed to protecting your personal data and complying with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable French data protection law (Loi Informatique et Libertés).
2. Data we collect
2.1 Data you provide directly
When you fill in a contact or demo request form, create an account, or interact with our team, we may collect: your full name, professional email address, company name, company size, job title, and any message you send us.
2.2 Data collected automatically
When you visit ansor.ai or use the platform, we may collect technical data such as: IP address, browser type and version, pages visited and time spent, referring URL, device type. This data is collected via our analytics provider and helps us improve the platform.
2.3 Data from third-party services
If you sign in via a third-party provider (e.g. Google), we receive the data that provider shares with us pursuant to its own privacy policy and your consent settings.
3. How we use your data
We use your personal data for the following purposes:
• To respond to your demo or contact requests and schedule meetings
• To create and manage your account on the platform
• To deliver the ANSOR service and its features
• To send you product updates, usage reports, and relevant communications (with your consent)
• To improve and develop our platform and AI models
• To comply with our legal obligations
The legal bases we rely on are: performance of a contract (when providing the service), our legitimate interest (improving the product, preventing abuse), your consent (marketing emails), and compliance with a legal obligation.
4. Data sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We may share it with:
• Infrastructure providers — Supabase (database hosting, EU region), Vercel (hosting), and other sub-processors necessary to operate the platform
• AI providers — OpenAI and similar services, solely to process queries you submit; no personal data is used to train their general models
• Analytics — Aggregated, anonymised usage data only
• Legal requirements — If required by law, court order, or to protect our rights
All sub-processors are contractually bound to process data only for the purposes we specify and to apply appropriate security measures.
5. Data retention
We keep your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. If you close your account or request deletion, we will erase your personal data within 30 days, unless we are required to retain it longer by law (e.g. accounting records for 10 years under French law).
Demo request data is retained for 12 months, after which it is permanently deleted.
6. Your rights
Under the GDPR, you have the following rights:
• Access — Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Rectification — Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data
• Erasure — Ask us to delete your personal data ("right to be forgotten")
• Portability — Receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
• Restriction — Ask us to limit how we use your data
• Objection — Object to processing based on legitimate interest or for direct marketing
• Withdraw consent — Where processing is based on consent, withdraw it at any time
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at contact@ansor.ai. We will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority (CNIL) at cnil.fr.
7. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the platform and measure its usage. Strictly necessary cookies (authentication, security) are set automatically. Analytics and preference cookies require your consent, which you can manage via the cookie banner or your browser settings.
We do not use cookies for advertising or tracking across third-party sites.
8. Security
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss, or disclosure. These include encryption in transit (TLS), encryption at rest, access controls, and regular security reviews. However, no system is completely secure; if you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at contact@ansor.ai.
9. International transfers
ANSOR operates primarily within the European Economic Area. Where data is processed outside the EEA (for example by AI providers based in the US), we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the law or our practices. We will notify you of significant changes by email or via an in-app notice. The date at the top of this page indicates when it was last revised. Continued use of ANSOR after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
